Things I wished I knew before my Yoga Teacher Training

There are some things I wished I knew before I took the decision to go to a Yoga Teacher Training. My training lasted 7 months and each month I had 3 days of full day classes - 9 to 18.

1. How much time it will consume. Loads mamas! Loads! It is what you think, breath, work, dream, read, fear... for 7 months.

2. How many books you need to read. And from the loooong list of books how many of them you will not understand. And how many of them will completely reset your mind.

3. How much homework you will have to do. You practice - you write, you read - you write. You breath - you write.

4. How difficult will be to leave my kiddo for 3 days a months. He was 6 months when I first left for 3 full days. I didn't get to hear his laughter. I didn't get to kiss him or to hug him. I didn't get to play with him. For the entire 7 months I felt like a shitty mother because there was no time to take care of him as I did before I started the training.

5. How many fears I will face, how many convictions I will erase. How many times I will want to give up on everything - my child, my husband, my house, my life. How many times I will hurt the ones I love just because the journey was hard on me.

And there are things I knew after I finished my teaching training.

It changed me completely and for the better. I am happier, I am healthier and I know I am a good example for my son.

It wasn't easy at all - hard work both physically and mentally challenging. Me and my family were exausted by the end. But getting to work as a yoga teacher and guiding people to happiness and health... Oh I feel so blessed.
